The Personal Watercraft Industry Association applauds the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators for the success of Operation Dry Water, (June 26-June 28, 2009) a weekend-long event involving at least 49 states promoting boater safety by discouraging “boating under the influence,” or BUI.
While states have taken positive steps to reduce boating accidents, more can be done. In the spirit of National Safe Boating Week, lawmakers should consider taking the already-strong Florida boating laws to the next step.

All PWC manufacturers offer personal watercraft with four-stroke engines. Lake Tahoe-which has the strictest environmental requirements in the country-welcomes the use of more than 30 models of direct-injection and four-stroke personal watercraft because they are uniquely environmentally friendly.
